About
Anastasia Remoundou-Howley studied English Literature at the American College of Athens, Greece and received her MSc. in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh. She holds a PhD in the reception of Sophocles' Antigone in modern Irish theatre from the Classics Departrment at the National University of Ireland, Galway (2010), where she taught literature and philosophy. Currently she is working on the publication of her doctoral thesis as a monograph and on a post-doctoral research project on Greek tragedy, enforced disappearance and human rights in Irish, Argentinian, and Middle Eastern theatre and film.
